Made in Sweden

  • Galleri Temp Bergen Norway (map)

Temp presented 5 glass makers all graduates from Konstfack in Stockholm. They call themselves Svorsk, Norwegians Benjamin Slotterøy and Halvard Skeie Børgesson, and Sweedish Ludvig Løfgren, Åsa Jungnelius and Gabriella Høglin. Their intention behind Svorsk is to explore and actualize the glass as an contemporary expression and material. Glassmaking takes years to learn and is a process that involves great patience. Their works show how one can work for or against this traditional material.

The exhibition showed a bold play with different genres, and a comprehension of the material that has not been displayed in Bergen before. Svorsk has been procured by the National Museum of Sweden and been premiered for their new form. Furthermore, they participated at Nordic Glass exhibition and have featured in various design magazines.
