Vestlandske Kunstindustrimuseum, Bergen, Norway | January 28th - March 18th, 2012
It will be a colourful event when the playful designs by Inger Waage are presented for the first time in a solo exhibition. The artist was a designer at Stavangerflint and Figgjo Fajanse between 1953-1979, and during her time produced an enormous amount of crockery and fine crafts. This perhaps makes Waage the artist behind many of the artefacts in peoples homes, even without being aware of it. Waages designs became very popular in Norway but also abroad. Her decor is popular amongst collectors and a design orientated audience all over the world. Waages most famous designs were Bambus, Mesterkokken, Kon-Tiki and Glory.
The exhibition is produced by the museum as a part of the celebration of the 125 years anniversary
